중국 당국은 세계에서 세번째로 우주유영에 성공한 데 이어 우주정거장 건설과 인간의 달 착륙을 목표로 하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

중국 유인우주선공정판공실 왕자오야오 부국장은 중국 관영 신화통신과의 인터뷰에서2011년까지 새 우주선을 쏘아 올려 간단한 우주실험실을 설치할 수 있기를 바란다고 말했습니다. 왕 부국장은 이어 중국이 우주선 결합 기술에 초점을 맞춰 2020년까지 유인 우주정거장을 건설할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.

왕 부국장은 또한 중국이 곧 달에 유인 우주선을 보낼 것이라고 말했습니다.

한편 중국의 첫 우주유영 임무를 마치고 귀환한 우주인 3명은 29일 베이징에 도착해 열렬한 환영을 받았습니다.

A top Chinese space official says China's next focus in space will be the construction of a space station and putting a man on the moon.

Wang Zhaoyao, deputy director of the country's manned space flight program, tells the official Xinhua news agency today (Monday)that China hopes to launch a new orbiting vehicle and set up a simple space lab by 2011. After that, Wang says China will focus on docking two vehicles in space and building a manned space station by 2020.

Wang says China also wants to send a manned mission to the moon in the near future.

The three Chinese astronauts who participated in China's third space mission and first spacewalk last week were greeted with a warm homecoming celebration today in Beijing.
