VOA Spanish Branch reporter Alejandro Escalona joins On Assignment's Alex Villarreal to discuss Venezuela's recent presidential election, which the late President Hugo Chavez's successor, Nicolas Maduro, won by a razor-thin margin. Opposition candidate Henrique Capriles and his supporters have demanded a recount, with post-election protests turning violent. Alejandro says even without Mr. Chavez at the helm, the country remains politically polarized.
