The debate over immigration reform in the US is heating up. The senate passed a comprehensive immigration reform bill back in June that includes a pathway to citizenship for the nation's 11 million undocumented workers but the Republicans in the House have already shown their reservations. When it comes to how to improve the nation’s immigration system, opinions differ widely. This week’s edition of “On the Line” discusses issues surrounding the immigration reform debate in the US. GUESTS: (1) Lia Parada: Legislative Director, America's Voice. (2) Dr. Bryan Roberts: Sr. Economist, Econometrica; Former Assistant Director, Border & Immigration Programs, Department of Homeland Security. (3) Charlie Spies: Founder, Republicans for Immigration Reform.
