US Journalist's Death Highlights Profession's Danger

The death of an NPR journalist and his translator in southern Afghanistan Sunday confirmed once again that journalism is among the world's most deadly professions. Some journalists are killed accidentally in war zones or while covering violent conflicts; others are targeted by criminals, political factions or terrorists. Last year, more than 70 journalists were killed worldwide. Zlatica Hoke reports they were honored at an event in Washington Monday.
