Iraq's PM Blames Coalition for Ambush of Iraqi Soldiers

Iraq's interim prime minister has blamed negligence on the part of some in the U.S.-led multinational force for Saturday's massacre of 49 Iraqi National Guard recruits by the terror group led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Iyad Allawi did not go into detail in his comments to the Iraqi National Council Tuesday. However, he added that the Defense Ministry has started an investigation into the attack, which took place in a remote area of eastern Iraq.

The U.S. military has not commented on Mr. Allawi's remarks.

Meanwhile, a militant group, the Army of Ansar al-Sunna, has posted pictures on its web site it says are of 11 Iraqi National Guardsmen it holds hostage.

Earlier Tuesday, the U.S. military says it killed an associate of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in an airstrike in Fallujah.
