Spain Announces Arrests of 13 More Terrorism Suspects

Spanish authorities have announced the arrest of 13 additional suspects in connection with a plot by Islamic militants to blow up the country's national court.

Officials say they picked up the suspects following raids in Madrid, Cadiz and Valencia.

Last week, investigative judge Baltasar Garzon ordered at least 17 suspects held in prison. They are being detained in connection with a plot aimed at disrupting a court investigation into the March terrorist attacks on commuter trains in Madrid that killed 191 people.

Spain has also moved to extradite the suspected ringleader of the plot Mohamed Achraf from Switzerland, where he is being held on immigration charges.
