Evacuations and Death Rise in Malaysian Flooding

update

The death toll in eastern Malaysia has risen to at least five, in what officials are calling the worst flooding of recent years.

The Malaysian state news agency reported Sunday that at least five thousand people had now been evacuated from their homes. It also reported that three people were missing.

Annual monsoon rains triggered the flooding in the states of Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.
