Fetisov, Kuzkin Inducted into International Ice Hockey Federation's Hall of Fame


Russian sports minister and former Detroit Red Wings star Vyacheslav Fetisov and countryman Viktor Kuzkin will be inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation's Hall of Fame.

Fetisov, one of the most dominant defenders on the ice in the 1980's was chosen for being one of 14 players to win the Stanley Cup, the Olympics and the world championship. Kuzkin won 12 national championships with CSKA Moscow, and also captured three Olympic and eight world titles.

Mats Naslund of the Vancouver Canucks, former German national team captain Alois Schloder, Latvian champion Jorgen Hviid and Czech referee Quido Adamec are also in the class of 2005.

The class will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in January during the World Championships in Vienna, Austria.
