US Army to Take Part in India's Air Show

Indian Air Force officials say U.S. Army helicopters and F-16 fighter jets will take part in India's annual air show next month in the southern city of Bangalore.

The head of the Indian air force base in Bangalore, Air Commodore Satish Pal Singh, told reporters the U.S. Army has confirmed its participation in the biannual event.

The Aero India show is billed as one of the largest air shows in South Asia.

He said so far 78 aviation and aerospace firms from different countries have confirmed their presence at the event.

He said French Mirages and top-of-the-line Russian fighter planes are also expected to take part.

India's state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited will display its Light Combat Aircraft and helicopters.
