Agosto and Belbin Wins 2nd US Ice Dancing Championship

Skating's ice dance duo of Ben Agosto and Tanith Belbin have captured their second consecutive national title by winning the competition Friday at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Portland, Oregon.

The team scored perfect sixes across the board for presentation - the first skaters at the U.S. championships to receive perfect marks from all nine judges.

While Agosto and Belbin are the top U.S. dance team, the skaters will likely not compete in the 2006 Olympics because Belbin is Canadian, and she is not expected to get U.S. citizenship until 2007.

The pairs title Friday went to Katie Orscher and Garrett Lucash, who won their first title with a superb performance that included a triple flip and a triple salchow.
