Jamal Crawford’s 40 points proved too little for the New York Knicks, who dropped a 133-118 decision to the visiting Phoenix Suns in Tuesday's National Basketball Association action.
Amare Stoudamire had 29 points for the Suns, who won their second game in a row after dropping a string of contests during the absence of injured playmaker Steve Nash. Phoenix, at 33 wins and 10 losses, now has the second best record in the NBA behind San Antonio at 34 and 10.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Radmanovic scored 26 points, including eight three-pointers, to lift the Seattle SuperSonics past the Kobe Bryant-less Lakers in Los Angeles.
In Sacramento, the Kings easily beat back the visiting New Jersey Nets 113-93 on 31 points from Brad Miller and 25 from Peja Stojakovic.
