Englishman Lee Westwood has taken the lead, but rain has again delayed play at the Tournament Players Championship golf tournament in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Westwood was 2-under-par through seven holes, taking him to 9-under-par for the tournament. That score put Westwood one stroke ahead of former U.S. Open winner Steve Jones when play was suspended.
Officials made the rare move of wiping out Friday's play and restarting the second round today because of the weather problems. Fog rolled onto the course and the players had trouble seeing the fairways and greens in some spots. More rain is forecast for this Saturday afternoon.
The best organizers can hope for is to complete the second round Saturday and then possibly play two rounds on Sunday. A Monday finish is possible, but would be the first in the tournament's 31-year history.
