Goosen Rallies to Tie Bjorn for Tiger Skins Golf Tournament Title

South African golfer Retief Goosen came from behind to share the Tiger Skins tournament title with Thomas Bjorn of Denmark, in Phuket, Thailand. Both men donated their earnings to the victims of December's tsunami.

Goosen, the two-time defending champion at the event, fired birdies on the 15th and 16th holes to claim nine skins. Bjorn won just seven skins, but did so on more valuable holes.

Colin Montgomerie of Scotland won one skin while the tournament's other player, Grace Park of South Korea, came away empty-handed.

Under the skin format, players must win an individual hole outright to capture the "skin" and the prize money designated for each hole. Goosen and Bjorn each earned $85,000 in prize money, while Montgomerie won $10,000. The event netted a total of $180,000 for tsunami relief.
