The Indiana Pacers blew a 13-point fourth quarter lead, but rebounded in time to beat the National Basketball Association defending champion Detroit Pistons and take a 2-1 game lead in their Eastern Conference series.

Indiana guard Reggie Miller made four free throws and a key jump shot in the closing minutes to give the Pacers a 79-74 win at home Friday. He led Indiana with 17 points.
The best-of-seven game series remains in Indianapolis for Sunday's Game Four.
In other NBA playoff action, the Phoenix Suns came alive in the fourth quarter to cruise past the host Dallas Mavericks 119-102. With only a one-point lead and less than six minutes left to play, Phoenix went on a decisive 15-0 scoring run to seal their victory and take a 2-1 game lead in their Western Conference best-of-seven series.
Forward Amare Stoudamire netted 37 points and made 14 rebounds for the Suns, and NBA Most Valuable Player, Steve Nash, added 27 points and a career playoff best 17 assists against his former team.
Game Four is Sunday in Dallas.
