Sporting, Moscow Battle for UEFA Cup

The UEFA Cup football (soccer) final is today in Lisbon, Portugal with Russia's CSKA Moscow taking on Sporting Lisbon, with both clubs hoping to make history.

Moscow is looking to become the first Russian team to win a European Club championship. Sporting hopes to win a major European title for the first time in 41 years.

The Moscow club has played 18 games so far this season after being knocked out of the Champions League. About 4,000 Russian fans are expected to attend the match at Lisbon's 45,000-seat Jose Alvalade Stadium.

Sporting Lisbon is looking to become the sixth club ever to win a European title on its home field. Sporting is the second Portuguese club to play in the UEFA Cup finals in three years - F-C Porto won the tournament in 2003.
