Cambodian Police Arrest 4 on Human Trafficking Charges

update

Police who raided a massage parlor and karaoke club in Phnom Penh say they rescued 88 women from Cambodia, Vietnam and China who had been forced into the sex trade. Four men were arrested on human trafficking charges.

Police say the women - 56 Cambodians, 28 Vietnamese and four Chinese - appeared to be between 18 and 25 years old.

The U.S. State Department issued a report earlier this month listing Cambodia as one of 14 countries that do not comply with the minimum standards set by United Nations protocols barring human trafficking, and are making no significant effort to do so.
