Donaldson, Bjorn Share Lead in Euro Golf

update

Danish golfer Thomas Bjorn and Jamie Donaldson of Wales share the lead after the second round of the European PGA Tour's European Open at the K-Club in Ireland.

Bjorn shot a 3-under-par 69 in the second round while Donaldson had a 2-under-par 70. Both golfers are 5-under-par 139 for the tournament.

Five golfers -- Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland, Anders Hansen of Denmark, Brett Rumford of Australia, and Englishmen Graeme Storm and Jonathan Lomas -- are tied for second, one stroke off the leaders.

Two-time U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen of South Africa is part of a large group of golfers two strokes off the lead at 3-under-par 141. This year's U.S. Open champion, Michael Campbell of New Zealand, fired an even-par 72 Friday and is tied for 56th place at 2-over-par 146.

The tournament is being played on the K-Club Course in Straffan, County Kildare, Ireland, the site of the 2006 Ryder Cup competition between the United States and Europe.
