Ethiopian officials say Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is adopting an orphaned Ethiopian baby girl.
They say Jolie visited Ethiopia last week to file her adoption request, which has been approved. They say Jolie met the two most important requirements to adopt -- economic stability and a police clearance.
The French news agency reports the actress flew into Ethiopia Wednesday to pick up the infant.
The adoption was first reported by People magazine which quotes Jolie as saying the child will be named Zahara Marley Jolie.
Angelina Jolie also has an adopted three-year old son from Cambodia. She told People magazine her son is in love with Africa and has been asking for an African brother or sister.
