The international community has welcomed Monday's arrest in Argentina of a top fugitive Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect.
Representatives of the top international mediator in Bosnia-Herzegovina called the arrest of Milan Lukic an important step in implementing the 1995 Dayton peace accord that halted the Bosnian conflict.
Spokesmen for European Union and NATO peacekeepers in Sarajevo also welcomed the detention and pledged to continue the search for remaining fugitive war crimes suspects until all are in custody.
Their comments followed confirmation by The Hague court of the suspect's identity.
The Hague tribunal indicted Milan Lukic in 1998 for crimes against humanity for his role in the killing of more than 60 Muslims in eastern Bosnia in 1992
Last month, a Serbian court sentenced Lukic in absentia to 20 years in prison for kidnapping and killing a busload of Bosnian Muslims.
