NHL: Lightning Trounces Hurricanes in Season Opener


The National Hockey League resumed action Wednesday after a 16-month layoff, thanks to a labor dispute. The 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning were finally able to celebrate their championship with their fans, unveiling a massive banner in their arena. They opened the season with a 5-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
