Paraguay and Ecuador have qualified for next year's World Cup football tournament, thanks to Saturday's results in South American qualifying matches.
The Paraguayans qualified after a 1-0 win over host Venezuela in the city of Maracaibo. Nelson Haedo Valdez scored the only goal of the game.
Meanwhile in Quito, host country Ecuador qualified for the World Cup after a scoreless draw with Uruguay. The two nations join Brazil and Argentina in qualifying for next year's tournament.
Elsewhere in South America, Colombia played Chile to a 1-1 draw. The fifth-placed finisher in South America faces a playoff against the Oceania representative for a berth in the World Cup.
