More Heavy Rain in US Northeast, at Least 10 Dead

update

Heavy rain is expected in the northeastern United States for the eighth straight day Friday, possibly further swelling rivers, threatening homes and delaying air travel.

At least 10 people have died because of the downpours. Four others in the state of New Hampshire, flooded earlier in the week, remain missing.

Flood warnings are in effect Friday for parts of the states of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. Residents in some New Jersey communities have been urged to evacuate their homes.

Flood warnings have been issued for several New Jersey rivers that were expected to crest early Friday.

As much as 25 centimeters of rain has fallen in some parts of New Jersey.
