Earthquake in Southeast China Kills 14

China says an earthquake in the southeast part of the country has killed at least 14 people and injured hundreds more.

Chinese officials say thousands of homes collapsed when the magnitude 5.7 quake struck Saturday morning in Jiangxi province's Ruichang city.

Authorities there are still assessing the damage, and China's official Xinhua news agency says relief teams are being sent to the region. Ruichang city is home to around 420,000 people.
