A suicide bomber in southeastern Afghanistan has killed at least three Afghan soldiers and a civilian.
Officials say the bomber detonated his explosives inside a car in Khost province Wednesday as soldiers were checking the vehicle. At least three other people were wounded. Authorities blame the Taleban.
Militants have carried out a wave of suicide bombings in Afghanistan's south and east in recent weeks, killing dozens of people.
The Taleban has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks, and says it will continue its insurgency until foreign troops leave the country.
The United States has more than 18,000 troops in Afghanistan, and the Dutch parliament is to vote Thursday on whether to send more troops to the country as part of a NATO force.
