Uganda's government has laid out terms for a truce with the rebel Lord's Resistance Army.
Government officials said Friday they will declare a halt to hostilities if the rebels move to designated locations.
There was no immediate response from the Lord's Resistance Army leaders at the Ugandan peace talks in southern Sudan.
The Ugandan government previously insisted that any cease fire be part of a larger peace agreement to end the rebels' 20-year insurgency.
The rebels declared a unilateral cease fire earlier this month, as the peace talks got under way.
On Thursday, rebel delegates advanced several new demands, including one that more top government jobs go to people in Uganda's north and east. Uganda's government has rejected any power-sharing deal with the rebels.
President Yoweri Museveni has offered amnesty to rebel leader Joseph Kony and his top aides if they agree to lay down their arms.
The 20-year war, fought mainly in northern Uganda, has left tens of thousands of people dead and displaced more than a million others.
Kony and his aides are believed to be hiding out at bases in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They face charges of war crimes from the International Criminal Court.
