The Indianapolis Colts opened their National Football League season with a 26-21 victory over the New York Giants in a quarterback battle between brothers Peyton and Eli Manning.
Older brother Peyton won Sunday's duel, leading his Colts against the host Giants. But, he says he is proud of the way Eli played. Peyton threw for 276 yards and one touchdown. Eli threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns. Both Manning brothers tossed one interception.
The Giants never led in the game, but came to within two points in the third quarter, and again in the fourth.
