Search teams have located the body of a U.S. mountain-climber who had been missing more than a week on Mount Hood in Oregon. Two other climbers in the same party are still missing.
The body was located Sunday in a snow cave near the top of the mountain. Earlier in the day, searchers discovered another nearby snow cave that contained a sleeping bag and some gear.
The three hikers set out on December 7 for a hike to the top of the 3,425-meter mountain. They had planned a two day climb, and were reported missing when they failed to return.
One of the climbers used a cellular telephone to call his family on Tuesday, but rescue efforts were hampered by severe snowstorms which did not clear until Sunday morning.
