Three US Servicemen Killed in Iraq Friday, Saturday

In Iraq, a roadside bomb in northern Baghdad has killed one U.S. soldier and wounded another.

A U.S. military statement Saturday said the attack occurred as the soldiers' unit was conducting a patrol to control violence in the area.

U.S. military officials also say two American servicemen were killed in separate incidents Friday. A Marine died of wounds from an enemy attack in western Anbar province, while a roadside bomb killed one soldier and wounded two others in northern Ninewah province.

In another development, U.S. military officials say coalition forces detained 25 suspected terrorists Saturday in a series of raids across the country.

Military statements say 11 were captured west of Baghdad, seven in Tarmiyah, and seven others were detained in Fallujah and Balad. They are accused of being so-called "facilitators" who aid al-Qaida and foreign terrorists operating in the country.

On Friday, Iraqi and U.S. forces detained a top aide to radical Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, who officials say leads an illegal armed group involved in the kidnapping, torture and murder of Iraqi civilians.

Sadr's office said the man arrested is its media director, Sheik Abdul Hadi al-Darraji.
