NBA: Suns Extend Winning Streak with Win Over Knicks


The Phoenix Suns beat the New York Knicks 112-107 Wednesday in National Basketball Association action, extending their current winning streak to 15 games.

Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 30 points and 11 rebounds, while teammate Steve Nash finished with 21 points and 14 assists. This is Phoenix's second 15-game winning streak of the year.

Meanwhile, Indiana Pacers edged out a 96-94 overtime victory over the Miami Heat. The Heat blew a 20-point lead in the second half, spoiling the return of Shaquille O'Neal, who returned to Miami's lineup after missing 35 games while recovering from knee surgery.

Wednesday's other NBA winners include Philadelphia, Atlanta, Toronto, Detroit, Memphis, Houston, Sacramento, Portland, and Golden State.

The Philadelphia 76ers enjoyed a 118-115 double-overtime win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Andre Iguodala led Philadelphia with a season-high 34 points. The Atlanta Hawks beat the Boston Celtics 82-76. Toronto's Chris Bosh scored a season-high 35 points to lead the Raptors to a 90-88 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

The Detroit Pistons downed the Charlotte Bobcats 103-92. The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Utah Jazz 132-130 in overtime. Houston's Tracy McGrady scored 37 points to lead the Rockets to a 90-85 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Sacramento Kings beat the Milwaukee Bucks 114-106, as Ron Artest led the Kings with 36 points. The Portland Trail Blazers downed the Minnesota Timberwolves 101-98 in overtime, and the Golden State Warriors edged the New Jersey Nets 110-109.
