Poland's Malysz Wins 2nd World Cup Ski Jumping Event of Weekend

Adam Malysz of Poland took advantage of a strong second leap to win his second World Cup ski jumping event of the weekend in Titisee, Germany.

Malysz recorded leaps of 129.5 and 134.5 meters Sunday, to capture the 32nd World Cup meet of his career with 257.7 points. Austrian teenager Gregor Schlierenzauer finished second with 245.7 points, while Dmitri Vassilyev of Russia was third (242.4).

Malysz tied the hill record in his victory Saturday with a leap of 145 meters.

Anders Jacobsen of Norway took fourth place Sunday and continues to lead the World Cup standings. After 15 of 23 events he has 987 points, while Schlierenzauer is second with 801 points and Malysz is in third place with 757.
