The Toronto Blue Jays edged the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 5-4. The Detroit Tigers handed the Minnesota Twins their fourth straight loss in an 8-2 decision. The Tigers have won 11 of their last 12 games. The Cleveland Indians beat the Oakland Athletics, 6-3, boosted by a pair of run-scoring triples by Josh Barfield. And the New York Yankees defeated the Seattle Mariners, 7-2.
