Fired US Radio Host Settles with CBS

Controversial radio talk show host, Don Imus, who was fired for a negative racial remark, has settled his termination dispute with CBS broadcasting.

CBS issued a statement Tuesday saying it and Imus settled claims each had against the other, but it did not disclose details of the settlement.

Imus was fired in April for remarks about members of the Rutgers University's women's basketball that were widely criticized for being racist and sexist. He apologized for the comments.

The Imus show was produced and broadcast by CBS-owned radio station WFAN in New York and syndicated on some 60 other stations across the United States.

WFAN announced Tuesday that former NFL quarterback and CBS sports broadcaster Boomer Esiason and another radio talk show at the station will take over the morning time slot.
