Li Wins Aussie Women's Hardcourts Tennis

China's Li Na has won her first tournament since a rib injury forced her to the sidelines by taking the Australian Women's Hardcourts tennis event in Gold Coast.

Li dropped from 18th to 29th in the world after fracturing her rib last year. She came back from one set down Saturday to beat Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

On her way to the title, Li beat several seeded players, including top seed Nicole Vaidisova of the Czech Republic, Patty Schnyder of Switzerland and Sybille Bammer of Austria.

The tournament win is Li's second in WTA Tour events and makes her the second Chinese player to win two singles titles. Azarenka drops to 0-3 in tournament finals.
