Some Chinese Fear Private Property Law Will Cost Them Their Homes


Twelve months after China passed a historic property ownership law, thousands of people who once lived in state-owned housing are finding themselves out on the street, as the land is sold off to developers.

In Chengdu, Sichuan Province, a group of peasants who live on the premises of a government-owned factory are fighting back and calling for compensation. Sam Beattie reports for VOA.
