Shabby Embassy Row Buildings in Washington Stir Controversy

Abandoned or neglected embassy properties in Washington DC are generating increasingly angry complaints from neighbors and preservation groups, souring relations between diplomats and local residents. The diplomatic properties are located mostly in an elegant area of the nation's capital - many in townhouses and mansions that have architectural and historical value. As VOA's Bill Rodgers reports, the complaints tend to have little effect because the embassy properties are considered foreign soil.
