World Cup Champion Lindsey Vonn Cleared to Ski Saturday

Reigning women's Alpine Ski World Cup champion Lindsey Vonn has been cleared to compete in two upcoming races after bruising her left knee while she was training.

Vonn was hurt last week and she returned to race practice on Tuesday after being cleared by a U.S. ski team doctor. She is expected to enter a giant slalom on Saturday and a slalom race on Sunday. Both events are in Aspen, Colorado.

Vonn, who has 13 World Cup speed event victories, won the World Cup slalom opener in Finland on November 15. It was her first top-three slalom finish. Lindsey is this season's World Cup leader after two races.
