Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is expected to be on leave for at least one month following the untimely death of his wife Susan in a road accident March 6, sources in his office said.
Mr. Tsvangirai has asked Deputy Prime Minister Thokozani Khupe, a member of his formation of the Movement for Democratic Change, to act on his behalf, though President Robert Mugabe has yet to ratify the appointment and announce it officially.
Minister of State Gorden Moyo, attached to Mr. Tsvangirai's office, told reporter Ntungamili Nkomo of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that talks within the unity government of issues such as the appointment of governors and ambassadors will meanwhile continue.
