Coach David Mandigora of Zimbabwe's Dynamos soccer team has resigned after a string of losses. Mandigora led Dynamos to the Premier League Championship two years ago but as of the latest round of PSL matches the team had fallen to eighth place among 16 teams.
Dynamos fans turned on Mandigora Wednesday after the team registered its third defeat in six matches. Police were reported to have dispersed angry Dynamos fans who attempted to barricade the team in its locker room at Rufaro Stadum after a 1-2 loss to Eagles.
Dynamos players returned to play Wednesday after boycotting training over the club's failure to pay allowances and player bonuses from the recent CAF Champions League.
Mandigora told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that he hopes Dynamos will now do better, adding that he may return to soccer after a break.
