At Least 15 Killed in Egyptian Train Collision

Authorities say two Egyptian passenger trains have collided south of the capital, killing at least 15 people.

Officials say at least 30 others were injured Saturday in Giza, when a passenger train crashed into the back of a train that was stopped on the same track.

The moving train was headed from Cairo to the southern city of Aswan.

Rescue workers were working to free those trapped in the wreckage.

Saturday's collision took place in the Al-Ayat area of Giza, where more than 360 people were killed when a passenger train caught fire in February of 2002.

Some information for this report was provided by AFP, AP and Reuters.
