Undefeated World Boxing Council champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley defends his welterweight (66.68 kilogram) title against Vernon Forrest at Madison Square Garden Saturday night.
Mosley has a record of 38 wins and no losses with 35 of his victories coming by knockout. He captured the WBC crown when he beat former Olympic champion Oscar "Golden Boy" De La Hoya in June of 2000.
Forrest has 33 wins and no losses with 26 knockouts and was stripped of the International Boxing Federation welterweight title because he wanted a title unification bout with Mosley.
While Mosley has not lost as a professional, he did lose to Forrest at the U.S. Olympic Trials 10 years ago. Saturday's bout will be fought in the theater at Madison Square Garden.
