As Zimbabweans go to the polls, former colonial prime minister Ian Smith says President Robert Mugabe has not done enough to deserve another term in office.
Mr. Smith ruled Zimbabwe, then called Rhodesia, from 1964 to 1978. He says President Mugabe has impoverished the people and alienated the international community.
He told reporter Chinedu Offor that the Zimbabwean leader is bent on rigging the election. He says with widespread poverty among the people, the future of Zimbabwe is uncertain.
