Zimbabwe - protest - 2002-04-05

In Zimbabwe, a non-governmental group says it will hold nationwide protests tomorrow to press for changes in the constitution. The government has banned the rallies, citing security reasons. But the group -- the National Constitutional Assembly, or N - C - A -, says that will not stop them. N- C- A spokesman Douglas Mwonzora says constitutional reform is key to political stability in Zimbabwe. He told me about efforts to get official approval for the protest.
