Celtic Holds On to  Scottish Premier League Title - 2002-04-06

The city of Glasgow is continuing its dominance of Scottish Premier League football (soccer) after Celtic defended their title with five games left to play.

Celtic dismantled fourth-place Livingston 5-1 Saturday, thanks to a hat-trick from Swedish international striker Henrik Larsson and two goals from John Hartson. Celtic now have an unassailable, 13-point lead over crosstown rivals Rangers.

For Scottish league trivia purposes, Aberdeen was the last team other than either Celtic or Rangers to win the championship. That was back in 1985.
