Meredith Buel recently returned to Washington from Jerusalem, where he served as Bureau Chief.
He has been a broadcast journalist for 25 years, working in commercial television as a correspondent and anchorman. He joined VOA in 1990 and has served as a general assignment reporter, co-host of Talk to America and an anchor for VOA News Now.
Prior to his assignment in Jerusalem, Meredith also served as VOA Bureau Chief in Islamabad, Pakistan, where he also covered the civil war in Afghanistan. Meredith graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where he studied Radio, Television and Journalism. He is an avid scuba diver.
