Nigeria has added its voice to calls for Israel's withdrawal from Palestinian territories. The appeal comes amid growing concern in the country over the situation in the Middle East. Nigeria's minister of state for foreign affairs, Dubem Onyia, told Israel's ambassador to Nigeria that "Nigeria is worried, and demands Israel pull its military forces out of Palestinian territory immediately." He also said that Nigeria is not happy about the suicide bombings by Palestinians. Israel's ambassador to Nigeria, Ariel Avidor, said that no government in the world would remain silent in the face of "provocation from Palestine". He said Israel does not intend to remain in Palestinian territories.
