India's cricket team has reached 237 for four in its first innings on the third day of the first test match against the West Indies in Georgetown, Guyana.

Star batsman Sachin Tendulkar led the tourists with 79 runs while Rahul Dravid added another 57 not out. The score was in response to the West Indies score of 501. Carl Hooper led the Caribbean side with 233 runs.

Tendulkar looked set to score his 29th test century before being trapped leg before wicket while trying to pull leg spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo off the last ball before tea.
