Zimbabwe: Reconciliation Talks Shaky - 2002-04-29

In Zimbabwe, the opposition MDC says it is considering pulling out of the talks with the government being held in an effort to find solutions to the nation’s political crisis.

The comment came after a spokesman for the ruling ZANU-PF, Information Minister Jonathan Moyo, accused the MDC of lying about post-election violence.

The secretary general of the MDC, Welshman Ncube, told English to Africa reporter Chinedu Offor that the opposition has no faith in the talks. He says the government is not sincere about efforts to find a lasting peace
