Dateline: The Media, the Market and Martha - 2002-07-10

For a dozen or more years, a blonde-haired woman who held jobs as a fashion model, stockbroker and caterer, built a media empire based on her ideas of good taste and good living.

Martha Stewart became a modern American icon and made news with her books, radio programs, and television shows. Now she's made news again but this time for accusations of insider trading on the stock market.

Her former admirers in the media have turned nasty, and her empire is threatened. A modern morality tale? Or something else? More now in this Dateline report with Bob Doughty.
