There's a growing debate about genetically modified organisms or GMOs. Proponents predict that genectially modified crops will make pharmaceuticals affordable and cure world hunger. But there's no guarantee that GMOs can deliver on these promises.
There's also the possibility GMOs could threaten the environment and drive some farmers out of business.
