NFL: Preview of Sunday's Games - 2002-11-09

The Pittsburgh Steelers entertain, and will try to contain, the Atlanta Falcons and quarterback Michael Vick when the two teams meet in the U.S. National Football League Sunday.

Both teams have five wins and three losses. Pittsburgh is expected to play a three-four defense to try to contain Michael Vick, who is third in the NFL in pass rating (100.3). After Sunday, the Steelers only play one more team that currently has a winning record - the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers host Detroit. Packers' quarterback Brett Favre's knee is still not healed but he has been able to lead Green Bay to seven wins this season.

The reigning Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots visit Chicago to take on the Bears while Kansas City takes on the San Francisco Forty-Niners.

The Miami Dolphins will be without wide receiver Chris Carter when they take on the New York Jets in New York. Carter was admitted to a hospital for tests, and news reports say he might have a kidney abnormality.

In other games, Houston takes on Tennessee, San Diego visits Saint Louis, and the New York Giants are on the road against Minnesota. Indianapolis visits Philadelphia while New Orleans travels to Carolina.

The Cincinnati Bengals take on Baltimore, while Washington visits Jacksonville. Seattle faces Arizona, and in the Monday night game, Oakland takes on the Denver Broncos.
